We need volunteers!

We are looking for passionate volunteers to join our Board of Directors! This year we have several positions open, and we are hoping to find parents who are looking for a way to participate more in their athlete’s sport. Prior board experience is not required, and neither is great knowledge of the game! We are looking for individuals who care about advancing and making our program accessible to every athlete that is interested. While no experience is required it would be helpful to have an interest or skills related to the following items: 

  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to take initiative 
  • Ability to negotiate 
  • Demonstration of the ability to be flexible and compromise 
  • Ability to demonstrate extreme confidentiality in sensitive saturations 
  • Understanding of financial information or accounting (mainly Treasurer role) 

All director positions last a minimum of two years (two season commitment). Meetings for 2025 season will begin September 2024 and run approximately 2 hours. We meet 1 time per month throughout the year (meetings are the 2nd Monday of every month). Between meetings individuals will be expected to complete the duties of their assigned role adding to the time commitment (which varies based on role). The open roles for the 2025 season are: 

  • Director of Fundraising/Sponsorships 
  • Director of Equipment and Equipment Management 
  • Treasurer (this role will be vacated in 2026- and 1-year shadowing is required) 

If you would like to help but would like less of a time commitment, we are also looking for dedicated committee members. Committee members would help with smaller tasks/projects managed by one of the Board of Directors. Meetings would be less frequent (maybe 4-6 times/year) depending on the assigned tasks. Committees to consider joining are (more may be added as needs change): 

  • Fundraising/Sponsorships 
  • Marketing/Recruitment 
  • Team Parents 

All appointed directors/committee members will be approved upon successful completion of a background screening. There will be a credit check for the role of treasurer only.
