Spring season Age Groups

The spring lacrosse season runs from March to June with a majority of the games on the weekend and an end of season tournament. While registration is open to both boys and girls, the league rules and age groupings are based on IBLA and US Lacrosse standards.

The team groupings are as follows:

U8 1st & 2nd Grade Minis
U103rd & 4th GradeJuniors
U125th & 6th GradeMinors
U14 7th & 8th Grade Majors

U8:  The beginning for most athletes. Practices involve the basic fundamentals in stick work, game play, and sportsmanship. The games are played with a few changes to the standard rules (i.e. no take out checks, no long pole defense sticks). Multiple teams at this level are divided equally.   

U10:  Practices involve the basic fundamentals in stick work, game play, and sportsmanship. As the team progresses, more advanced techniques and plays are introduced. The games are played with a few changes to the standard rules (i.e. no take out checks, no long pole defense sticks). Multiple teams at this level are divided equally. 

 U12:  Practices involve the basic fundamentals in stick work, game play, and sportsmanship, but quickly move toward more advanced techniques and plays being introduced. The games are played by the standard rules, long pole defense sticks are allowed. Multiple teams at this level are divided into A and B teams. 

 U14:  Practices involve the basic fundamentals in stick work, game play, and sportsmanship, but quickly move toward more advanced techniques and plays being introduced. The games are played by the standard rules, long pole defense sticks are allowed. Multiple teams at this level are divided into A and B teams.
